Today, I'm excited to share my visit to a second factory in Nantong, known for its collaboration with big brands like Hongdou and Starbucks. This factory boasts a sleek, minimalist Korean style, and I was thrilled to hear from the owner that just before our visit, they received a sizable order for Korean summer quilts in over ten different patterns—definitely a style I love!
With a spacious area of over 18,000 square meters and a dedicated team of around 80 employees, this factory has been operating for 15 years. After experiencing the vibrant textile scene in Nantong, I'm considering live streaming a tour to showcase their products directly—it's a challenge I’m eager to take on!
What struck me during this visit is how accessible the home textile industry is; with just a few machines and a handful of workers, anyone can establish a factory. There are thousands of factories in Nantong alone, and the low entry barrier leads to fierce competition, much like in the apparel sector. When a hit product emerges, the speed of imitation is astonishing! Therefore, it’s crucial for different factories to carve out a unique niche to thrive.
I’ve visited both high-end and budget factories, and it’s clear that each caters to a specific audience, with both doing well in their own right. It’s not about one being superior; what matters is finding the right market fit.
This factory excels in its variety of styles and SKUs, with stable craftsmanship, making it an excellent option for those looking to expand in the Japanese and Korean markets. 🌟
