When you think of building blocks, don't just stop at LEGO! Chinese brands are on the rise, and compared to a few years ago, when they had a strong plastic feel and inconsistent quality, today’s products have truly leveled up!

I recently visited a building block factory in Shantou, and although it’s relatively new, its design and attention to detail are impressive. The production facility spans 4-5 floors, and while visiting wasn't easy (hence the limited photos), I was lucky enough to witness the automated sorting process. They can sort an entire set of blocks in just a few minutes! The warehouse is packed, holding millions of dollars worth of products.

I was particularly taken by their Huanghe Tower and Epang Palace sets—each boasting over 4,000 pieces! Compared to LEGO, these traditional Chinese designs resonate with me on another level. The intricate details of Chinese architecture are stunningly replicated in these sets.

I couldn’t resist and bought a few sets to take home for my son. He later told me, "China’s architecture is amazing!" While building, he felt like an ancient architect. Seeing the completed sets, I finally understood why so many love building blocks: they’re small yet exquisitely detailed, allowing you to create your own little world piece by piece! 🌍✨
