Honestly, after visiting Hars, I can’t think about other cup and kettle factories! Let me share some highlights:
Global Leader: Hars is the largest cup and kettle manufacturer in the world and the first in the industry to go public in China. With five production bases in Switzerland, Thailand, and Zhejiang, employing 8,000 people, they achieve annual sales in the billions.
Industry Authority: Hars is the leading unit of the China Cup and Kettle Association, setting industry standards and providing customization services for major brands like Huawei, Thermos, and Starbucks.
After several visits, I was once again welcomed by Factory Manager Jia, who showed me the new spring and summer collection.
The first image features this year's star product: the adorable cat paw cup with a built-in tea strainer. I think it’s super cute and has great potential to sell well!
Curious, I asked Manager Jia why some live-streaming sessions offer such low-priced “big belly cups” that sell out instantly. He scoffed, explaining that using recycled materials and hot water in production is a recipe for disaster.
Hars uses Tritan, an eco-friendly material developed exclusively by Eastman in the U.S. They are the largest purchaser of Tritan, ensuring top-notch quality.
I nodded, but I wondered about other brands also using Tritan. Is there a catch? Manager Jia educated me further:
“Some brands use Tritan for the accessories but not for the main body. There’s a lot of misleading marketing out there. For instance, this insulated cup may have a 304 stainless steel bottom, but if the rest is made of 201, it’s not the same quality. Plus, there are fake Tritan materials imported from Korea.”
I fell silent, realizing that every industry has its tricks.
Manager Jia added, “We’re a reputable company; after all, being publicly traded means we can’t afford to take shortcuts.”
After touring the production line, we headed to the showroom to check out other new items. The last photo features a cold brew pot that caught my eye—it feels solid and perfect for summer office use or outings.
Is anyone else a fan of this style? Let’s keep an eye on it together!
