My New Short New Chinese Style Down Jacket – First Impressions! 🧥✨
So, I picked up this short, new-style down jacket on Merchant’s Day (12.20) and spoiler alert—I also got a pink, mid-length down jacket (haha, the age-old pink temptation strikes again!). Honestly, I can’t resist pink anymore—it’s like a magical curse! 😆 Haven't received it yet, so I can't speak to its quality, but I’m excited!
Today, I got my hands on this black jacket with 90% white duck down and a 260g fill weight. It’s supposed to be super warm, but since the weather’s been too nice lately, I haven’t had the chance to test the warmth properly. (But trust me, when I tried it on for pictures, I wasn’t cold at all! 😅)
A few quick notes on styling:
No zippers, hidden buttons, or magnetic closures—it’s just an open, robe-style down jacket.
The waist belt is a little low, sitting just above my hips. Honestly, I feel like it would look better if it was higher up—every girl loves a good 37% leg ratio, right? 😂
While the jacket gives a nice, cinched waist when buttoned, it does give a slightly bulky look from behind, kind of like a “rounded back” effect.
Overall, though, I still think it works! The style is unique, and it’s affordable, so I’m giving it a thumbs up! 👍
What do you think, ladies? Is this jacket a yay or a nay?
